WORKSHOP
Single Source Portraits
WITH RYAN READ
Sunday, May 18th, 1 - 4 pm
Whether you're looking to get comfortable with artificial lighting or want to simplify your gear without sacrificing impact, Single Source Portraits is designed to be a powerful, practical addition to your photography toolkit.
Perfect for photographers who:
want to spend less time troubleshooting and more time photographing.
want to bring more drama and intentionality into their portrait work.
primarily shoot in natural light, but want to gain in-studio confidence over artificial light, camera settings, angles, modifiers, and editing.
are looking for the right space and lights to achieve professional portraits efficiently, without the added cost of expensive equipment.
Note: We will be demonstrating with Sunday Studios lighting equipment, so what you learn here can be reproduced during your own sessions at Sunday Studios (lighting equipment included in bookings).
Description:
1 - 3 pm, Live Workshop with Model
3 - 4 pm, Open Studio Time for Attendees (Bring Your Camera)
Ryan Read will walk you through lighting equipment setup and safety (using continuous light), light modifiers and angles with a live model, camera settings, and editing.
Then stick around for a 1-hour open studio session where you'll have the chance to test, tweak, and shoot with the same tools and techniques we covered—ideal for building your portfolio and locking in what you've learned.
Limited tickets available. Come ready to learn, shoot, and walk away with skills that’ll raise the bar for your portrait work.
